My Journey

“I fully believe in the therapeutic & physical benefits of massage & yoga. I have dedicated myself to mastering a large range of techniques in massage, reflexology and yoga to cater for any client’s requirements”

Having previously qualified in Sports Rehabilitation from Salford University, I worked for 7 years with skiers in Switzerland offering sports and deep tissue massage, injury prevention and rehabilitation.

I have learned over the years that people often associate massage with either a treatment for elite athletes or a spa luxury. But what about all the people in the middle? Massage is a whole lot more than that. It is a complex tool which, if used correctly, can just about tackle any ailment or injury.

I have also learnt that your internal health is as important as the external, which is why I decided to study Reflexology. Reflexology is a non-invasive alternative therapy. Through pressure points on the feet, congestion within the internal organs can be addressed. Reflexology can be used to treat a host of health issues, from back pain and arthritis to migraines and menstruation. It can strengthen the immune system, prevent further illness and breathe life back into the body, making you feel balanced, positive and full of energy.

Being a keen athlete I knew I needed something more then just a stretching programme. Tall Trees Yoga Studio in Doncaster opened my eyes to the undertstanding of what Yoga can bring both physically and mentally. So much so I have started the journey in becoming a yoga teacher and hope to qualify in December. Covid 19 permitting!

So whether you are an athlete and have some specific soft tissue restrictions in a particular area, preparing for a big sporting event, have exams, suffer from headaches or are generally just tired and in need of some relaxation, I can adapt my techniques and practice accordingly.

Remember pain and discomfort is not normal, constant fatigue and tiredness shouldn’t be tolerated and yes every so often you can just treat yourself!

“ Went to see Leah after several recommendations plus the added incentive of a strained quad 48 hours before a 100 mile sportive! Leah was really friendly and made me feel immediately comfortable; seen a few massage therapists and physios but always feel awkward first time...not so with Leah. However, more than that, she absolutely knows what she’s doing; professional and knowledgeable about anatomy so you know you’re in a safe pair of hands. The massage itself was wonderful.

Exactly the right amount of pressure for me; adapted to suit your needs. All in all a great sports massage. I highly recommend Leah and what’s more, she cured my quad in one session and I completed the ride .”
